We are on the hunt...

For a house that is!! Mr. Man and myself have been on the hunt for about a month now for the perfect starter home for the two of us. Let me tell you how excited I was to begin this process, that is until we are now knee deep in decisions and talking about more money than I could have ever imagined!! My goodness, you want to put how many zeroes into that space?? So far it has been an eye opening experience and it has been wonderful to look at different potential homes and thinking about the life we will start together, it is all just too much sometimes!! It is frustrating and rewarding and luckily today we are going to look at a place for the second time. Everyone cross your fingers for us! It is rather difficult to come to reality and realize that the house you are actually able to afford is not going to look a whole lot like the house in the movie Father of the Bride...sad sad!!

    I love house shopping but I hate the mortgage process. They will tell you it is done and then ask for more info and then more money. So just be mentally prepared. But it all works out in the end. But that 30 days from when you put up the escrow and actually close is so stressful. It has been 6.5 years since we bought our house and I am still not recovered from that process.

    Congrats on shopping for your first home! That's SO exciting! It's funny that you pictured the father of the bride house b/c that is SO what I always thought my casa would look like when I was younger...haha.. So funny. Good luck!
