HELP!!

So in a matter of 22 days (but really who's counting?) I am going to Mr. Man's home town of Norman, OK to go to an OU football game. Needless to say I'm just a bit anxious about this visit. I met his parents when they came out here a couple of weeks ago and everything went fine, but is weird to say I might be more nervous about meeting his friends!?? YIKES!!! Not only that but I am staying with his parents on Friday night!?? Holy freakin' cow!! The funny thing about this whole situation is I can totally deal with the parentals and the friends, however, what the heck am I supposed to wear to the football game?? This will be the first impression I give to his friends and I can't come off looking like a total dork. I'm thinking I'm either going to wear black capris, of which I already own, or cute jean capris (hello Nordstrom sale!) So here are my fav shirts to choose from, and please please please help me pick one, I'm FREAKING out!

And We're Off!

This weekend I am heading to beautiful Beaver Creek, CO to help celebrate the marriage of a good friend. I am so so so excited for this weekend. Mr. Man and myself have decided to make a weekend out of it and we are heading up today (11:30 to be exact) and I'm ecstatic! We are planning on leaving straight from work this afternoon and heading up to Vail to do a little mountain biking. Let's be real here, Mr. Man will be flying off boulders and mountains, etc, and I will be sipping on a glass of wine at the bar at the base of the mountain...much more my style. We will be dining at one of my favorite restaurants in Vail, the Ore House, stuffing our tummy's to the brim of steak and wine. It will be a fabulous weekend!! I hope you all have fun plans this weekend, get out there and enjoy the last couple weekends of summer!

My Little Houdini

After an extremely tiresome and less than enjoyable dinner with some old friends (a whole other blog post), I finally got home for the first time around 9:30 last night. It was an exceptionally trying day at work and all I wanted to do was snuggle up with my little fuzz butts. Remember them? Banks and Hitch, the little kitten rascals. So I get home and am immediately greeted by Banks (not unusual,) however, it was extremly unusual for my little black cat not to be by his brohters side in rubbing up on my legs. I immediately went into panic mode and searched every nook and cranny, even the dishwasher mind you, and I couldn't seem to locate the furry rascal. I paniced some more, called W, and then went downstairs to see if my concierge had any reports of a little black cat roaming around the halls. Turns out the little nugget must have slipped between either my legs or W's legs while we were leaving and ran out into the hall. One of his favorite games, LOVES it. He was found by some cranky old lady on my floor who was trying to swat him with a broom!! Can you believe it? I was so upset but I went to the back room where they were keeping him to find a shaking and terrified little Hitch. The relief I felt was unbelievable!! I couldn't believe he had been roaming the halls all by his lonesome for 3 hours. Bad bad kittie momma. Lesson learned, always check your surroundings for little Black kitten houdini's. Never know when they are going to strike again!
Hitch's typical sleeping position.

Of course one of the little gray trouble maker!

I rode a camel...

Oh hey there...yes its me, and yes I stink big time at this blogging thing most of the time...whoops! Time for a life update, I suppose so here goes. First of all the Brown Palace wedding was magnificent, couldn't have been anymore perfect if you ask me. Mr Man and myself had a great time and I'm pretty sure we made that open bar of the brides well worth the money...whoops. Since then I have been beyond busy just bustling around town and trying to get some things accomplished before the summers end. Some of these activities include the Renaissance Festival, yup we went, soaking up every minute of Mr. Man being in town, some pool days, Lots of Rockies games and of course the Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum concert this last Saturday. I swear I keep telling myself that once I reach a certain date things will calm down, however, there is no end in sight. Seeing as it has been so long since I have blogged I will update you with pictures of the past few weekends and fill you in as to why the name of this post is I rode a camel, its a good one.
Anywho, this past weekend was filled with tons of fun and sun. Mr Man's parents and grandparents were in town to visit and they wanted to meet me...gulp! Turns out there was no need to panic and we all had a blast. We attended the Rockies game on Friday night where the Rox broke a MLB record for the most consecutive hits in a inning crushing the cubs a whopping 17 - 2. Yeah we rocked their socks off. Saturday was filled with errands and then the amazing concert that was Tim McGraw and Lady A. Ummm, holy AMAZING!!! Loved every minute of it!! Sunday it was off to the last game of the Rox vs. Cubs series with all of Mr. Man's family. I was burned to a crisp and the Rockies pulled out another fantastic win, sweeping the Cubbies! So all in all, a fabulous weekend spent with great friends and many great memories. Unfortuantely due to the BF's parents being in town I was unable to attend a good friends bridal shower that W threw for her, but I heard it was magnificent and I can't wait for the Beaver Creek wedding in 2 weeks...woah two weeks!!! Awesome! Now onto the picture slide show of the last couple of weeks of my life, prepare yourself!

Another wedding the weekend prior, high school friends!

Beautiful girls at the cocktail hour...is her dress not amazing?

Some of the girls and the tea.
Mr. Man and myself and the wedding

Now onto the more pressing matter of the camel but first a little bit more fun!
Face painting anyone?

Clearly I have never seen anythign soo amazing!
Wouldn't be complete without a pirate picture!
And finally at the Renaissance Festival you can ride a camel and clearly I cannot pass up that kind of opportunity...it was breathtaking!
